Vision Statement:

Youth for Children envisions a world where the boundless potential of young people is directed to shape a brighter future for children across the globe. We see a global community where youth take the lead in positive transformation, persistently ensuring that every child thrives in a secure, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

Mission Statement:

At Youth for Children, our mission is to inspire and empower the youth to become advocates and champions for children's well-being. Our dedication lies in:

1.Youth Empowerment: We provide young individuals with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to become proactive leaders in shaping a better world for children today, not just tomorrow.

2.Child-Centric Capacity Building: We focus on enhancing the resilience and prospects of children through the training of youth as lay providers. Our areas of focus include safeguarding against abuse, addressing the urgent challenges of climate change, combatting gender-based violence (GBV), and tackling other pressing issues affecting children.

3.Advocacy for Change:

We nurture a team of youth advocates who drive the development and implementation of strong safeguarding and protection measures for children. Through comprehensive training, workshops, and resources, they are equipped to identify signs of abuse, prevent harm, and offer crucial support to child victims.

Our unwavering commitment is to mobilize youth and channel their passion into concrete actions that lead to a world where every child's potential is realized, and their rights are upheld by a compassionate and proactive global society.

WHAT WE DO

Main areas of our focus

Child capacity building, protection and safeguarding

We have developed 5 curriculums to expand basic knowledge of learners on the following areas: child rights, climate change, gender, sexual health reproductive rights and First aid

Youth Capacity Building

we incorporate the youth as lay providers in implementing our curriculums in different schools. This helps keep unemployed youth away from crime and drugs!

Music for voluntary work

In exchange for Voluntary work, we offer free guitar and vocal lessons for out volunteers! we also engage them in robust training to equip them with session facilitation skills that are handy for implementing our curriculum.

Human rights and sustainable development Education

Our curriculums are sustainable development goal oriented. We are an organization passionate about advocacy for Human rights that involves capacity building through knowledge sharing!

Counties
we are based in Kisumu, Manyatta region, Kilifi Kibaoni and Machakos Counties. We hope to expand our geographical reach with time.

Youth as Lay providers

We train the youth and equip them with communication skills that enable them to facilitate our capacity building sessions. As lay providers they are more responsible to themselves which keeps them away from crime and drugs.
